Hard to believe but finally it is happening in Langkawi. Back in 2002, DLanguage STUDIO started it's first language program ie French. Supported by then 'MARA', the program had it's first response from mostly hoteliers. The following year it started its second language ie English, followed by Japanese then Arabic. By that time, Langkawi Tourism Action Council had shown interest to enhance the language programs complimentarily for the public, started with front-liners and now opened to almost just anyone. Initially and until now, the language programs were mostly hosted at willing hotels. Year 2008 saw a little different in the approach. Other than Mandarin, the rest of the language programs are currently hosted by DLanguage STUDIO, namely French, German, Thai, Arabic and Japanese. Among all, Thai is making its debut this year. Soon Korean language program will be the baby of all..  

During most Langkawi Tourism Action Council events... part of the show will draw forward students who had attended the language programs.. be it as a short sketch, or even a simple quiz. The next show will be on 2nd Feb, in conjunction with 'Sauk Sotong' event, or in English 'Squid Challenge'. So, come over and join us at Kuala Sungai Cenang Langkawi....  DjRay
