A language course which has long been waited by many has finally made its debut here at DLS, ie Thai Language, Swadee Krap?  This course is another program sponsored by Langkawi Tourism Action Council in their effort to provide complimentary courses to the public, especially in this tourist attraction island. The draw back about this course is that, it doesn't have a proper romanised alphabets, unlike Mandarin and Japanese. It may also have a word with more than 5 meanings just upon pronouncing it with different tone level. But definitely it is not among the most difficult language to learn compared to others.. Every language has its own system. Thai language has similar sequence with Malay, so it should not be difficult. This course is conducted by Ustaz Mahmood of Patani, who is also a tahfiz at temoyong Tahfiz School.

Mandarin Course had also started this season at City Bayview Hotel on 18th Feb 2008. We thank LTAC so much for their continual support in providing these complimentary courses.
